LG's bent smartphone has arrived in Hungary

LG Electronics (LG) is making the bent LG G Flex mobile phone available in Hungary as well, which is another milestone in the smartphone market. The special feature of the device is that it follows the line of the face in its shape. The latest member of LG’s premium G-Series, the G Flex’s all-new display and battery embodies the LG Group’s unique innovations. The LG G Flex also offers new interface features that take advantage of the curved shape.

Among the new technologies on display, one of the special features of the LG G Flex is the “self-healing” coating on the back. Thanks to the flexible coating, the G Flex retains its novel condition for a longer period of time, as the “self-healing” coating can repair the scratches and cuts that are common in a smartphone used without a case.

LG G Flex users can choose from several formats when listening to music - they can enjoy music in MP3, CD or 24-bit 192 kHz hi-fi quality. The user interface features introduced in the LG G2, such as KnockON, Guest Mode and Plug & Pop, have been well received, including in the LG G Flex. The LG G Flex interface also offers additional innovations:

• With QTheater, users can also quickly access their photos, videos, and YouTube from the locked screen. When you tap the screen and drag with two fingers following a curved shape, applications appear to mimic the pulling of a stage curtain.
• The Dual Window divides the 6-inch screen into two separate windows, making parallel tasks even more efficient.
• Swing Lockscreen changes the image on the lock screen depending on the position of the device.
• As a result of the Face Detection Indicator, the LED on the back button turns green, indicating that the face detection and focus function is activated.
• When the Camera Timer function is turned on, the LED on the back button flashes to indicate that the countdown has started.
• When the Urgent Call Alert function is switched on, the LED on the back button flashes red to indicate that several missed calls have already been received from a given person.

Debuting at the 2014 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the LG G Flex is now available in more than 20 European countries, including Hungary. The device is available in T-Mobile and Telenor stores, as well as outside the store network of mobile service providers.
