This is no joke: 28 core Intel processor arrives
Or a power demonstration for Intel mode.
The major processor namebolus has been abandoned in recent months, so there are now a few drops of dust. The new magic word is Skylake XCC (extreme core count), which virtually covers the extreme core number. This is in this case 28 core and 56 logic, which, despite its relatively modest default clock rate (2,70 GHz), is capable of a terrestrial performance. Not a common sight is the six-channel memory controller built into the processor, but it's definitely not that a CPU runs on so many processing units at 5,0 GHz. Well, both of them may have been here because Intel had a "light move" on that clock, and then read it down the current version of Cinebench.
I guess we will not be surprised by the fact that the 28 seed Skylake XCC produced almost incomprehensible results: with the overdrive 7 334 was achieved. How much will this monster cost? According to folk legends, the 10 000 dollar does not cost its price, which is almost 3 million forints.
