The manufacturer's latest device is ready to take advantage of the 10 Gb Ethernet standard.

Thecus Technology is sending its network card, now unveiled, to battle it against ever-increasing network traffic. The model, called the C10GT, can be made with PCI-Express x4 and x8 interfaces and can handle a connection speed of no less than 10 Gigabit. The device, which is based on the Tehuti Luxor TN3020-D processor, has two interfaces; a “CX4” and an “SFP +” - which are suitable for connecting copper and fiber optic cables. The hardware is characterized by extensive knowledge of standards and operating systems: IEEE 802.3ae, IEEE 802.3ak, and IEEE 802.1q VLAN are no stranger to anyone. It can run on Windows XP and the Microsoft client and server operating systems that have been released since then, as well as some versions of Linux.

The following Thecus network storage (NAS) can be expanded with the C10GT:

  • N7700PRO
  • N7700 +
  • N8800PRO
  • N8800 +
