ATI Radeon HD 5670 - Is DirectX 11 Really Cheap? (english version) 2010-03-08 8 2217

We arrived to middle March, and unfortunately the weather is often bad, snowing and we are cold, and we are waiting for the spring. Formula 1 started on the weekend with seven time world champion Michael Schumacher, so we are looking forward to an exciting season. Of course the life was not dead in the IT world, everybody want to see NVIDIA's new Fermi architecture based GTX 480 and GTX 470 and its relation to the very good Radeon HD 5800 series. We are curious too, but these cards will not be popular in everday life, because of their really-really high purchase price. Hungarian common people are looking for a card that priced under 50 000 HUF (or even more cheaply) into their computer. NVIDIA needs to wait for these potential costumers for long months, so if we want a DirectX 11 compatible card with a payable price around 20 HUF, there is only one alternative, the ATI Radeon HD 000.

AMD know it too, they are in a really good position, they dictate, set conditions, and avail of these opportunities. The Radeon HD 5670 can activate a lot of HardwareOC reader with its low price and development, so it gets focus in this review, but we get an another competitor. If somebody thinks after finishing the article, HD 5670 is good, but he / she needs better 3D performance, there is another step, the Radeon 5750. We tested HD 5700 series during the winter, and shows you in a review - only in hungarian - and we were satisfied with them, we criticized the price only. Of course manufacturers pay attention to which product is how running out with accurate statistics and presumably HD 5750 stays in the “not bad selling indicators” category. There is a big costumer group who do not like boring solutions with factory export, they do not sympathize with the reference refrigerations / fans. ASUS knew that, and created the Radeon 5750 Formula, which a total adapted, uniqe model with special refrigeration being based on a printed circuit.

You can gues, it will be another competitor next to HD 5670. Not incidentally we will watch an equal-trademark battle, because the 5670 arrived from ASUS, just as well EAH5750 Formula. It would be rather odd if these two cards are fighting, so we transferred the previous results from our article presenting HD5750 and 5770, and it we placed them the score presenting in graphs.
