Ominous news in the AMD Radeon VII case

Three weeks before the start of the new AMD Radeon VII, news came to light that sales of the novelty would start in a rather limited number of units. According to TweakTown, AMD made its Fury X / Fury (Fiji) debut with 30 units, compared to 000 for the RX Vega 64/56 and just 16 for the Radeon VII. According to other sources, this is by no means true, based on which you can start Radeon VII with 000 cards. Well, AMD is unlikely to officially disclose the exact data, but we believe that commercial availability and the price of the product will help us a lot in deciding which value was also true. The rumor category is also strengthened by the fact that only reference models are expected in the first round, the individual solutions of the partners can be prepared later.
Also linked to the video card mentioned above is the information that the 128 rasterization units (ROPs) previously released were incorrect data. The Radeon VII will work with half of that, as will the Radeon Instinct MI50, blessed with very similar parameters.
Finally, we can also provide some good news; Mark Papermaster, technical director at AMD, said they will come out with additional 7nm graphics cards after the Radeon VII. In our opinion, these products will replace the aging Polaris family and may be based on a chip running under the Navi codename.
