Here is the first 5 GHz processor!

AMD has unveiled the first commercially available processor capable of reaching 5,0 GHz.

The company is justifiably proud of the two new FX CPUs, as the eight-core models truly offer unprecedented speeds. As previously reported, the FX-9590 is able to reach the 3.0 GHz dream limit with Turbo Core 5,0. The other model, called the FX-9370, is already “only” at 4,7 GHz.

The two newcomers will be available to system integrators later this summer. The official announcement here readable.
