Scooters are certainly similar to cars in one respect. Some of them are good for getting you from A to B, and there are some that pump your blood full of adrenaline. The KuKirin G2 Master clearly supports the second group, but not in a way that makes you fear for your life.

KuKirin G2 Master - The scooter that makes my blood boil but doesn't want to kill me 1

It's been a few years since I first got on an electric scooter. I've tried quite a few machines, from small ropi scooters to buffalo 6000 watts, so I think I have some insight into the subject. I know what to recommend if you only want to do a few kilometers a day, even if you use it to go to work, even if you need it for leisure activities.

I know what to recommend if you live in a hilly (mountainous) region, even if you weigh 70 kilos, or even if you weigh 120. I can tell you what kind of scooter you will like, if you like to go sporty, and what the your favorite if you like adrenaline rushes, but also what will be your favorite if a leisurely pace is your world.

There are a million types of rollers, even if the layman doesn't see it at first.

The KuKirin G2 Master is a sporty scooter, an exciting scooter, a powerful scooter. It's not so strong that as an experienced roller skater you're scared to death, not so strong that you can't easily counteract the forces that occur from the floor and hips, but definitely enough that you have a constant grin on your face when you stand on it.

KuKirin G2 Master - The scooter that makes my blood boil but doesn't want to kill me 3

The KuKirin G2 family currently consists of three members. These are Pro, Max and Master. Even at a glance, it is clear that the family tree is the same, the suspension, suspension/damping, and dimensions are all similar. However, while the Pro and Max are just a scooter that looks sporty, but feels a little sporty when in use, the Master is already the entry into the rock-hard, multi-thousand-watt, dual-motor world. True, it is still only the bottom step here, but for this reason it will be suitable for those who:

  1. They don't require hair-raising acceleration,
  2. fear for their lives
  3. but they also want to be able to go up a bigger hill.

The robustness of the frame already shows that Kukirin's engineers aimed for a higher step. They replaced the old frame, which is really good news, because there was (is) a problem with the screw frame neck, instead they used a fixed, molded frame neck, into which, in a very clever way, the cables were not threaded, so even in the event of a possible break, it will be easier to repair.

The adjustable front and rear struts, the thickness of the tread, the rear heel support and the lack of a seat all indicate that the Master will no longer be a vehicle for dads and teenagers who want to look sporty, but for people who have outgrown the 350-watt category. , have some practice and want to enjoy the power that a 2000 watt scooter can provide.

Because the KuKirin G2 Master is already a 2000-watt unit, while the G2 Pro had to make do with 600 watts, but the G2 Max could only operate with 1000 watts.

The number of engines is also telling. For my part, I prefer it when the maximum power comes from two motors. Of course, you have to get used to this, because on loose ground, a front wheel that spins when you step on the gas can be a big surprise, but still, e.g. in this case, it is much more pleasant if the 2000 watts is not only applied to the rear wheel, but distributed to 1000+1000 watts for the front and rear wheels.

The form is therefore similar within the G2 family. The Master differs significantly in size and weight from the Pro version, but not much from the Max. Compared to the latter, the weight is only 2 kilograms more, but the length is the same. The latter is interesting because the Master looks more lanky, and the forks look longer. Perhaps it is optically deceiving us by giving us a much sportier one instead of the usual conservative-looking rear fender.

There are things that have not changed compared to the Max, such as the dashboard, which I already got to know last year in connection with the Kukirin M5 Pro. The index switch and the group of switches containing it have changed, and for the better.

Instead of the right-left index switch, we got a push-in one, which I think is a slightly better solution. On the slide switch, especially if you're wearing gloves, it's quite difficult to hit the middle position when you're not indexing, but the push button has a pressure index and an index off, so our job is easier that way.

I also like the fact that the charging port on the Master is finally not on the side of the trepan, but on top of the frame neck. It also has a spring-loaded lid. I don't know how long this will hold the strap, it seems quite thin, but if it does, it will be a much better solution than the connectors placed on the side, less water gets in here than on the side.

Okay, let's quickly see the factory data!

KuKirin G2 Master - The scooter that makes my blood boil but doesn't want to kill me 8

As I wrote above, the KuKirin G2 Master is a 2000-watt, i.e. 2 x 1000-watt scooter. It drives both the front and rear wheels. Of course, we get disc brakes for stopping, but these are not yet hydraulic brakes, which I am a little sorry for, I feel that hydraulic brakes would have been appropriate for a high-speed scooter of this category.

According to the factory data, the recommended top speed is 25 km/h, which was obviously just a joke, since 60 km/h is also possible with this scooter. Of course, you have to be a maximum of 75 kilos for this, you also need a little tailwind and a slope, but it is possible. Realistically, I say 50-55 kilometers per hour blindly, but the test will reveal what the little one can do!

The water resistance is IP54, so this isn't a diving scooter either, but splashing water probably won't hurt it. The ascent that can be climbed is 20 degrees, the distance that can be covered on one charge is 70 kilometers according to the factory, and for this we can store the energy in a 20,8 Ah battery (52 volt system), which can be fully charged in 10-11 hours.

The dimensions are also important, when opened the machine is 126 x 59,5 x 131,5 centimeters (ie 126 long, 59,5 wide at the steering wheel and 131,5 high at the handlebar), the net weight is 33 - the gross weight is 39 kilograms. The size of the tread is also important, it is 49 x 19 centimeters.

Of course, there is lighting at the front and back, with a white LED spotlight at the front and a red light at the back, which is also a brake light as usual. On both sides of the trepni, front and back, there are yellow lights, which also function as an index. They look pretty good in the dark.

As a sign of the higher category, there is also a colorful, illuminated KuKirin inscription on both sides of the trepni. I don't like these little things, but it can't be denied, in the dark any extra light can save a life, so I don't mind, let there be illuminated KuKirin lettering!

I haven't mentioned the wheel size, it's 10 inches, the tires are balloon, their pattern is suitable for mixed use, that is, there are no big bumps, but they are not the usual tires for completely smooth asphalt.

And as a final figure, the load capacity, which has not changed compared to the smaller machines, remains at 120 kilograms.

Experiences can come!

Let's start with driveability!

KuKirin G2 Master - The scooter that makes my blood boil but doesn't want to kill me 13

Although I wrote at the beginning of the article that the KuKirin G2 Master will be good for those who have outgrown smaller scooters, I did not tell the whole truth. The situation is that the KuKirin G2 Master will also be good for those who want to switch from a smaller ropi scooter to a more serious machine.

The reason for this is that in the case of the KuKirin G2 Master, due to the two-motor design, we have a total of 6 power levels available, from quite friendly to pushing our limits. We get 3 power levels, in addition we get the one- or two-motor mode, and 2 x 3 means six power levels.

KuKirin G2 Master - The scooter that makes my blood boil but doesn't want to kill me 14

On the single-motor, lowest gear, the scooter is extremely friendly, and although I wouldn't recommend it as a first scooter for absolute beginners, with enough maturity, attention, and caution, it won't be too much for absolute beginners either.

I note before someone asks the question, no, I wouldn't put a 10-11-12-year-old child on it anyway. However, even with a motor, we have 1000 watts under us, and it only takes one or two button presses to turn the 1000-watt "friendly" into a 2000-watt monster. So the decision is yours, I certainly wouldn't put this machine under my sons.

As we move up the gears and switch on the second motor, the scooter becomes more and more manly and agile. The higher speed already forces us to brake more, but fortunately, even though the brake is a Bowden brake, it also holds my 100 kilo weight (plus the weight of the scooter), so it is possible to stop quickly even from a speed of 40-45 kilometers per hour without falling over the steering wheel.

KuKirin G2 Master - The scooter that makes my blood boil but doesn't want to kill me 15

Here, of course, I have to mention the practice again, because it is still good to know that on a scooter (as on motorcycles) the steering wheel is there to steer with, not to rely on it. So, at higher speeds, you have to shift your body weight, backwards when braking and forwards when accelerating.

As I wrote in the specification, the hardness of the spring members can be adjusted. At first I felt that they were tuned too hard, but during use it turned out that, in addition to agile use, the tuning was perfect for my own body weight. I think it will be hard for 75-80 kilos, but fortunately it can be refined, everyone can customize the suspension for themselves.

KuKirin G2 Master - The scooter that makes my blood boil but doesn't want to kill me 16

Of course, I also tried it off-road, on asphalt, at a higher pace and in dust. I don't think this scooter was designed for dusting. It's not like you can't go slow with him, he just doesn't pretend to be. It wants speed, it wants sporty use, and you can feel the fire burning in it.

KuKirin G2 Master - The scooter that makes my blood boil but doesn't want to kill me 17

At the same time, 2000 watts is not the power that will cause your pants to have IFA stripes all the time. You won't race cars with it (I'm ashamed of myself, but I did it with the 6000 watt scooter I had last year, I couldn't stand it), but this power is enough to make you have to hold on hard, that the heel support has not only an aesthetic, but a real role in acceleration let it be already.

2000 watts is enough to take you uphill at normal speed. This is where the advantage of the dual motor and switchability comes in again, since if you don't need the extra power to race, but to be able to climb a mountain, you have the option for that as well.

KuKirin G2 Master - The scooter that makes my blood boil but doesn't want to kill me 18

With the large push button, you can turn the second engine on or off on the go, so if you reach the uphill at a leisurely pace, you don't even have to get off and push the machine, it's enough to "turn on" the second engine if you feel that you're slowing down a lot. Of course, in such cases, it is appropriate to let off the gas for a moment, so that there are no surprises.

I didn't manage to reach the maximum speed of 60 kilometers per hour. This means approx. it was to be expected, it didn't really surprise me. However, 55 came out of it. I think that's good enough. What is much more important than top speed is acceleration and torque. If you don't accelerate properly, driving between cars is a more dangerous stunt, because when starting at a traffic light or entering a roundabout, they will always want to run you over. Unless you accelerate the cars at the start, which you have some chance of doing with the G2 Master, because if you're brave enough, with two engines running, when you start in third gear, the front wheel can spin on asphalt, making a sound that brings tears to my eyes. .

KuKirin G2 Master - The scooter that makes my blood boil but doesn't want to kill me 19

One last thing, the range. Well, maybe it won't surprise anyone that 70 kilometers is just a nice dream. With a low body weight, without braking or acceleration, with low speed and single-engine operation, maybe, but I emphasize, this distance is only very possible, but not in real conditions, especially with dual-engine use.

As I calculated with my body weight, with mixed use, 35-40 kilometers at the most is realistic. If you go wild, if you use two engines, cut this in half as well. It is not up to me to decide whether this is a lot or a little, or perhaps not enough, you need to know how far and how you want to cover it with the machine.

You also have to calculate that 10-11 hours is a realistic figure for a full charge, that is, you will not charge it from zero to full during an 8-hour working period.

KuKirin G2 Master - The scooter that makes my blood boil but doesn't want to kill me 20

I must note that the realistically achievable 35-40 kilometers is not enough, since e.g. In terms of Budapest, this is a distance from Érd to Budakalász, and I would be extremely surprised if someone found out that he really wants to ride a scooter every day from Érd to Budakalász and back in the afternoon. It doesn't seem very realistic.

The realistic distance that can be covered with one charge is not small either, again in relation to Budapest, we are talking about the distance from Campona to Árpád Bridge, which is about 16-17 kilometers, so if you drive carefully you can make the trip back and forth with one charge. I would like to note that I am not even sure that I would like to ride a scooter every day in Budapest.

So, in terms of range, I think the real, available capacity is also more than sufficient in my opinion.

Sum it!

The KuKirin G2 Master is clearly the current pinnacle of evolution in the G2 family. It is also a strong and huge step up compared to last year's peak Max, since compared to the Max's 1000 watts, the Master has 2000 watts, and as an addition, a two-motor solution. There is a big red mark for the way the power stages were tuned, on the smallest stage, use is almost child's play with a motor, it is easy to drive, and the brakes are also good.

Obviously, after all this time, I can't say what will happen to the machine in 2 years, I don't know how the bearings and brakes will hold up. What I can say for sure is that the KuKirin G2 Master provides an extremely good foundation. The structure is strong and durable, so if the bearings need to be replaced, you won't be disappointed, because the rest of the structure will probably serve you for many, many years.

KuKirin G2 Master - The scooter that makes my blood boil but doesn't want to kill me 21

I really like the new frame neck design, which is already light years away from the old bolt-on solution. In a positive way, of course. I'm not saying that I haven't seen a broken aluminum casting, but it's as rare as a white raven. On the other hand, due to the older screw-on solution, I have already read quite a few complaints that they tend to give in.

I must say that the G2 Master has not only become the pinnacle in power and speed, but also in quality. Maybe it's just the lack of hydraulic brakes that can cause me to bind, but nothing else. The assembly, the quality of the materials, and the technical solutions make the Master higher than the best KuKirin G2 scooter, and even one of the Kukirin (Kugoo) scooters, if not the best.

KuKirin G2 Master - The scooter that makes my blood boil but doesn't want to kill me 22

Who do I recommend the machine to? I recommend the KuKirin G2 Master primarily to those who want to take advantage of the fire in it, ride it, and enjoy the excitement that the machine gives.

This does not mean that it would not be good for others, since in mountainous and hilly areas, the second engine and the extra 1000 watts will serve you very well even if you are not the racing type anyway. Due to the excellent shock absorption, it won't be a big problem if the quality of the road is average or worse, it won't be a problem if you have to jump off sidewalks, and it won't be a problem if you use it on looser, forested ground.

KuKirin G2 Master - The scooter that makes my blood boil but doesn't want to kill me 23

As I wrote, the 2 x 3 performance level gives a very wide scope for use, whether the user is experienced or just advanced.

The G2 Master will be good for both city and country "chopping". It will be good to go to work, but also to go out with your friends to the outskirts of the city to let off some steam.

KuKirin G2 Master - The scooter that makes my blood boil but doesn't want to kill me 24

For everyone else who prefers a very relaxed, comfortable roll, I still prefer the one I'm currently using KuKirin M5 ProI warmly recommend to your attention!

The price was left at the end of the article, which I don't think was terrible, since we are talking about a two-motor, 2000-watt machine, which is almost perfect. For the machine, which can also be found in the Banggood spring sale, a KG2MSTHU with a coupon code, we have to pay HUF 331 at the time of writing this article, which means a price of barely 000 in dollars. This is considered a very good offer in this category. Delivery is of course from a European warehouse and of course free of charge. If you want such a machine, you can buy it by clicking on the link below:
