The new Intel Celeron processors will arrive on May 28th
The first specimens of the new Celerons, based on the 65nm Cedar Mill core, will be released later this month.
As a first step, Intel’s offering will be expanded with two new processors, followed by the release of a third member, expected next quarter.
The new processor family with LGA 775 enclosure surpasses the current Celeron D Series with higher performance, twice the second-level cache and 64-bit technology.
The 3,20 GHz and 3,33 GHz CPUs are equipped with a 512 KB L2 cache and a 533 MHz system bus. For Celeron D 352 and 356 models, $ 1000 and $ 79, respectively, will be charged when ordering in bulk (min. 89).
The third and most powerful (Celeron D 360) has 3,46 GHz power and the same product features as the above, and will cost $ 103.
