The HTC Flyer tablet will arrive in Europe on May 9th

So far, we only knew about HTC’s first Android tablet, it will arrive in the second quarter, but the European release date has been clarified.

The Flyer is running Android Gingerbread - but an upgrade to Honeycomb is coming - and its 7-inch capacitive touchscreen has a resolution of 1024 × 600 pixels. We can control it with a finger and a special pen - stylus - the latter does not have to be purchased separately, as it is included in the box. In addition to the 1,5 GHz single-core Qualcomm processor, 1 GB of memory, built-in 32 GB of storage, microSD card reader, GPS, 802.11 b / g / n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, G-sensor, digital compass and a micro USB port. The tablet was equipped with two cameras, with a 5-megapixel autofocus on the back and a simple 1,3-megapixel solution on the front. Its 4000 mAh battery can provide 4 hours of operation even with continuous video playback.

The logo of the renowned manufacturer has to be paid a lot, Flyer costs 669 euros by pre-order. The big question is whether the HTC tablet will be able to gain a foothold in the market, as many people will be able to beat it in price and with its tiny, low-resolution display and single-core processor, it won’t even kick a ball against the iPad 2.
