Advertising by telephone

We will soon see advertisements not only on banners, posters, banners and TV commercials, but also on the phone.

With this type of target audience expansion, companies can find a lot of new potential subjects, they also have the opportunity to "deploy" targeted advertisements, i.e. everyone receives advertisements that are related to their interests. For example, they will not advertise toothpaste to a soccer fan. This type of method is used, for example, by Google, which places its ads based on the words found on the web page.

Going back to phone ads isn’t necessarily a bad thing, as everyone only gets information about what they’re interested in. One such advertising company, Viacom (the owner of television channels called MTV and Comedy Central), will test the system later this year. Its rival, Sprint Nextel Corporation, the third largest mobile operator in the United States, wants to solve the practical implementation in the form of video clips.
