Samsung Galaxy S with SLCD

According to the latest news, a version with a SLCD from the popular model will also be released in the near future.

It is rumored that a version of the Galaxy S with Super Clear LCD will be released in the near future. The novelty can be found on store shelves under the name Samsung I9003. Of course, the size of the display remains the same as 4 inches as with the I9000. The reason for the decision may certainly be that Samsung has trouble delivering a sufficient number of AMOLED displays.

Android version 2.2 will run on the "new product". According to the specification, the version equipped with SLCD will be equipped with a TI OMAP 1 processor operating at 3630GHz, and only a version equipped with 16 GB of internal memory will appear. The size and weight of the I9003 has increased a little compared to its predecessor, this is partly due to the larger 1650 mAh battery, which is necessary, since SLCD consumes more than AMOLED. Some say SLCD has a better picture, while others swear by AMOLED. For now, it looks like the I9003 Galaxy S SL will launch in Asia first. No price information available.
