Tablet PC from Dell

HP and Lenovo are facing stiff competition.

Dell’s new savior is already built on Intel’s Santa Rosa platform, so the 802.11n WLAN controller, Intel Turbo Memory technology and the enhanced GMA X3100 graphics controller will all be part of the base package. Of course, the currently unnamed machine is also equipped with Bluetooth support and a fingerprint reader. The 12,1-inch touchscreen display is of course rotatable, Dell wants to launch one of the thinnest tablet PCs on the market.

The release is due sometime in the third quarter.
