Nice player from the Philips workshop

Philips has long heard of itself, but the return may be louder than ever: you can conquer the quality sound of the GoGear Ariaz.

As devices specializing in multimedia playback are gaining ground in the mobile phone market, the market for classic players is shrinking. Manufacturers have also recognized this, and the only viable way to recover from the crisis seems to be to equip their products with a huge display and a quality sound system. The end product of this endeavor could also be Ariaz, as the manufacturer says it represents a significant quality leap in the sound quality provided by mid-range PMPs. Although we are unable to substantiate this claim at this time, the FullSound technology associated with the Philips name and the pairing of quality earphones hold great promise. The device is also excellent in terms of software capabilities, as it is compatible with most known compression methods, making it an ideal companion for casual cinema. Luckily for this, we also get a display of the right size, though we’ve already seen a larger one in the category for the 2-inch touch-sensitive panel.

The purchase price of the models with optional 4, 8 and 16 GB storage capacity seems friendly: for the most striking version we have to get rid of only 129 euros, which, considering the value obtained and the traditional quality, can make the Ariaz a really good choice.
