Sony pocketed five more awards from EISA
The largest European association of imaging and consumer electronics magazines also rated Sony as the best in the category of compact and professional cameras, televisions, home cinema amplifiers and tablets.
In 2012–2013, the company’s products were also awarded in five categories, then the SLR, compact and travel camera of the year, as well as its 3D TV and high-end home theater, also became Sony products. The company’s series of successes continued this year, with the European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) once again recognizing Sony’s role in innovation in the marketplace.
European Professional Camera of the Year: SLT-A99
Sony’s first full-frame semi-transparent SLR camera with dual autofocus. The flagship of the category guarantees outstanding imaging quality with the 24,3 megapixel Exmor CMOS sensor and the BIONZ image processor. The A99 produces six full-resolution images per second and, thanks to its noise reduction algorithm, is capable of producing detailed 14-bit uncompressed (RAW) images. The camera is also professional in capturing movies, with Full-Time Continuous AF Movie mode allowing you to focus on moving subjects continuously. The unique interior is made even more special by an elegant magnesium alloy machine cover, which includes an XGA OLED Tru-Finder and a multi-directional LCD back display.
European Compact Camera of the Year: DSC-HX50 / HX50V
Following on from the success of the EISA-winning HX5, HX9 and HX20, the HX50 is the world's smallest camera with 30x optical zoom. with the BIONZ processor. Thanks to the improved image stabilizer, the camera is twice as stable as previous versions, and the autofocus has more than doubled. The HX20,4 also fits perfectly as a pocket camera, allowing full HD (50p AVCHD) recording. With built-in Wi-Fi, you can instantly share photos and videos with friends at the touch of a button.

European Television of the Year: Sony BRAVIA KDL-55W905A
Sony BRAVIA TVs have won the EISA Professional Award for the fourth time this year.
