UMIDIGI A1 PRO - could it be a hit phone?

UMIDIGI is a medium-sized brand at home, at least among Chinese manufacturers. We have not seen a serious device yet, and the mobile that we are introducing is not a panacea, it is not going to be a champion in any category, just so much the specialty is that the bundled hardware is very well picked, and the purchase price it is asking for is also cheat.

At first glance, at least based on the pictures, the UMIDIGI A1 Pro looks like a traditional phone with an aspect ratio of 16:9. But it's not, it already has a 5,5-inch, 18:9 display according to the new "fashion", although the resolution is only HD+, i.e. 1440 x 720 pixels. We won't compromise on the processor either, to keep the price low, it has a quad-core processor running at 1,5 GHz and a 570 MHz IMG PowerVR GE8100 graphics accelerator. The central unit into which these are integrated is a MediaTek MT6739 unit. Although we wouldn't think so because of the four cores, this is a relatively modern central chip that already supports the new 18:9 aspect ratio displays. Since it is made for the entry level, the graphics accelerator is sufficient for HD resolution, and this phone has just that. The integrated image processor has several types of noise reduction functions and hardware supports dual camera solutions.

The manufacturer also uses this, but there are two cameras on the back, which are 5 and 13 megapixels, so they suspect a color camera and a monochrome camera. On the front, the self-portraits work as an 5 megapixel photo person. The hardware is still closely related to the size of the memory and the built-in storage, the former 3-16 GB. Of course, it is worth pointing out that you can add two SIM cards and support the very important B20 800 MHz LTE band at home, so there is no barrier to using a fast mobile. Additional features include Face Detection, more specifically Screen Detection with Face Detection, which, according to the manufacturer's specifications, only takes up to 0,3 seconds.

As you can see, this phone comes with a very good capability and has been marketed with a much stronger camera than the specification. The central unit is not enough for modern games, but for everything else, such as the Internet, watching Youtube videos, and Facebook, so it's quite enough for the average use. The operation is also supported by the amount of RAM larger than the category, which has 2 GB capacity for the usual 3.

I left the price to the end. Therefore, for the entry-level, but surprisingly good camera phone, we have to pay 99 dollars, that is, 25 thousand forints. If you choose this duty and VAT-free shipping, you will need to pay a further $ 15 for delivery, but on the other hand we will have the phone on 7-15 business day, on the other hand, the trader's promise will not have any additional costs and customs we worry about the protracted time.
