Waterproof HD camera from Sanyo

A toy for novice divers can be the manufacturer’s latest tool, which is waterproof up to three meters.

Sanyo unveiled its VPC-CA102YL portable digital camera in the Xacti series yesterday. Hidden in a yellow robe, the novelty features a 14-megapixel sensor and a 2,7-inch, 230-pixel LCD screen. You can use 000x optical zoom for photography, and 5x zoom for video. In addition to the digital image stabilizer, the camera is also equipped with a mini HDMI connector and Eye-Fi compatibility, and recordings can be saved to an SD, SDHC or SDXC memory card. With the help of the waterproof device up to three meters, we can record movies in Full HD resolution, i.e. 12 × 1920. 

The Sanyo device will be available later this month, but for now only in North America, for $ 350 (~ $ 75).
