Bluboo S1 - The new flagship arrives with a borderless display
Many people have been waiting for Bluboo’s new phone as it gets the same hardware as the competitors ’stronger phones, but the price has been pretty friendly. At this price, the introductory promotion just announced will further improve, with a discount of no less than $ 50. However, before I introduce the action, let’s look at the phone hardware, which has become strong to say the least.
The phone, which has a completely metal housing, has a Helio P25 with eight cores and a clock speed of 2,5 GHz. A dedicated Mali T880 GPU is responsible for the graphics. The system memory of the phone is 4 GB, while the storage is 64 GB, which of course can be expanded with a microSD card, from which we can use up to 256 GB of capacity.
The phone’s display is a 5,5-inch, FHD or 1920 x 1080 pixel panel protected by Gorilla Glass 4 glass from damage. With regard to the display, it is important to note that the manufacturer gives a 90% ratio between the display and the housing, in other words, 90% of the visible surface of the phone is the display itself. This also means that the hardware is packed in the smallest possible housing despite the large display so that it can be used more comfortably. Another extra is that the display has been frameless on three sides. This practically means that the frame is not visible on both sides, leaving only a very thin bar in which the speaker was placed.
The Bluboo S1 can manage three cameras. two of these are on the back and one is on the front. The front camera works at 5 megapixels, the rear one at 13 and a 3 megapixel. the latter, of course, also got a flash, and the camera features that are common on Android, such as the focus selected on the screen, also work.
Let's see the radios! We get wifi to access computer networks, which supports 802.11 a / b / g / n standards. You can connect to other devices via Bluetooth, this is the still quite rare version of Bluetooth 4.0 in this phone. Navigation is also guaranteed to work well, as the Bluboo S1 has also received GPS, A-GPS and GLONASS support. All that is left is the solutions needed for mobile data traffic. Of course, the phone is capable of 3G and LTE, but what is very important is that the manufacturer has also equipped it with LTE 800 MHz support, so you can enjoy mobile broadband in Hungary as well.
By the end, the sensors, battery, physical dimensions, and software were left. The Bluboo S1 comes with Android 7.0, of course. They are equipped with the more essential sensors, so there is a light sensor, a magnetic and a gravity sensor, so the VR experience is also given if we have glasses that we can put into it. Not to forget the fingerprint sensor from the sensors, although it is almost a mandatory accessory in this category. The built-in battery is a 3500 mAh Lithium-Ion Polymer power source. The phone measures 14,86 x 7,43 x 0,79 centimeters and weighs 0,169 kilograms.
Let's see the action after the hardware! Be aware that in terms of built-in hardware, a mid-range top phone like the Bluboo S1 is also in the price range of roughly $ 190-210. The price of Bluboo will normally be $ 210 after the launch promotion. During the promotion, i.e. July 10-17, the phone will cost just $ 160. The icing on the cake is that the top ten shoppers get $ 80 for the phone every day during the promotion. It is important that the UTC time zone for the start of the day is set to 9 am. We are now in daylight saving time, CEST, and CEST is equal to UTC + 2 hours. So try to buy a phone for $ 80 that way!
So the price of the phone, if you can't get to the top ten of the day, is $ 160, or about $ 46. This price is therefore especially affordable for iron, even if we have to pay customs duties and VAT on it, it is worth comparing it to the prices of phones with similar capabilities available in the domestic offer.
