Placing a 20,00 × 14,00 × 14,00 cm luminaire really can’t be a vicious task, as this sleek exterior is almost nowhere to be seen. Gearbest has added a smart indicator to the gadget, which is known, among other things, for the fact that the MIJIA MJCTD02Y can turn on automatically at a predefined time, has Apple HomeKit support, can be operated with voice control, and can also be controlled from a phone. When set to economy mode, it also stays in place as a night light, in which case the luminous flux is less than 2 lumens.
In our opinion, the stuff is quite ostentatious, but at the same time its control has been decided in a particularly elegant way: the luminous flux can be controlled by the touch-sensitive surface on the side, we can also use it to switch between different operating modes. At this point, we would have liked Gearbest to explain things in more detail, because that way there are quite a few foggy points. According to the description, the lamp can only be operated from the mains, it has no built-in battery. It consumes 7 watts, but unfortunately the luminous flux power is not yet clear - presumably this value could be somewhere around 300 lumens. What is certain is that the brightness of the light source, its color and color temperature can be changed, presumably the MIJIA APP comes into play here.
In the image above, we can see that the lighting is free of reflection and blue light or non-vibrating light. Well, it all sounds good and nice, but in the absence of practical experience, unfortunately we can’t confirm this for you.
The possibility of voice control has been mentioned briefly above. All we have managed to find out is that this will not go with an integrated microphone, but it can also work with the MIJIA APP.
The MIJIA MJCTD02YL lamp is not a penny product even during the special offer period, thanks to novelty there are no customer reviews about it, so some experimental spirit doesn't hurt - otherwise, take it as a little interesting!
