ASUS displays – Nice form, and big knowledge. Is not too much?

As we mentioned int he lead in, new displays change at external appearance. New MS series is interesting by several viewpoint if we are looking the design. We appears two things at boxing out, it is weightless and thin. The Full HD 23” display is only 16,5 mm thick. It is interesting by numbers too, but it is becoming significant when we touch and hold it. The most thick area is in the middle, and it is becoming thin in the edge.

Another piquancy is the lack of foot, and the form of brace. It is a plastic ring. You can see in the pictures, ring is very small, even so the device is stable. It is because two reasons, ont he on part it has the three point with two corners and ring what what cause the stability. Ont he other hand the ring is flexible, so if we jog the device, it will not capsize, we can feel the ring’s springing.

We have to mention one little problem, about the controller buttons. They use touch-sensitive buttons against usual. It will not problem, but it is not sensitive enough. We can costumize the device, but it occured sometimes for second or third touch. Luckily we will not adjust the display every day, so it will not take your appetite.

If we are at the settings, talk about it. The menu has the usual ASUS theme, we have got several pre-set profile, we think the base is the best, but it is subjective.

Let’s turn round the device, and watch its back. There is no sign for usual three connector pin. Reason is the display has external power-supply unit. It has several positive effect. One side, the casing may inferior. On the other hand the device does not warm. We can also find a HDMI and D-Sub underlay and an audio output. It is an output, because the device has no got speaker, but HDMI can bring audio signal.

Let’s see what can we get at picture quality! As we browse factory datas, we do not find faults, it has contrast ratio of 50 000:1, brightness 250 cd/m2, 2ms response time,170° insight angle. The numbers refer outstanding quality, but we think MS236H is avarage. We have to pin down, this avarage quality means at LED displays. There is no problem with colours, but black could be more dark, and TN panel likes hide picture’s particular parts. The 170°insight angle maybe a little bit excessive, but it is true, we can see the picture from there.

If somebody think we lash the display, it can be true one way, but it is all because of the TN panel. So we can not wonder, that is usual problem, without manufacturers’ mistake. These words belong final toughts, so let’s step to the second display.
