ATI Radeon HD 5670 – Is DirectX 11 really cheaply? (english version) 2010-03-08 8 2217

The manners demand that we should speak some words about the fresh newcomers’ appearance, characteristics, equipment, so we do this now, but focusing on the most important things only.

ASUS EAH5670/DI/1GD5

We can not speak lot of about ASUS 5670, because it is almost factory Radeon HD 5670. GPU codename ’Redwood’ went through enough considerable curtailment compared to HD 5770’s Juniper, if we said latter and it in connection with Cypress, there is halving, it is in the present case right too, shader number reduced from 800 to 400, which is a critical difference.

ASUS introduced Xtreme Design with P55 PCH’s arrival, 5750 Formula profits from that too. PCB is matt black, 6-pin PCI Express power socket is watching to the same direction with CroessFireX sockets, „up”. The Exclusice Formula Fansink” consequently has more uniqe innovation.

Outputs did not change, D-sub,DVI, HDMI, there is everything we need except DisplayPort, but we can live without it. There is Samsung GDDR5 chips on the back too with K4G10325FE HC05 serial number, so we can find connection with ASUS EAH5670’s chip (and it is not certainly an advantage).

As we mentioned, inside and outside of the box is very uniqe and demanding, but contents list are not so large. We can find the usual discs, guides and a CrossFireX bridge, a molex-PCI Express power converter, and a HDMI-DVI converter. We think there is enough place int he box for a fresh game.
